Arrive at Baghdad International Airport, where our representative will meet you and help you through the arrival formalities. A private transfer will take you to your hotel in the city, where you can check in, rest and prepare for the days ahead.
Enjoy a first full day in Baghdad with a morning city tour, discovering the capital's history and culture and its mix of historic sites and modern life.
Then travel to ancient Babylon, once an important city of the ancient world, and wander among its ruins, including the Ishtar Gate.
Continue to Karbala, a city significant for its religious history and the home of the Imam Hussein Shrine, a holy site for Shia Muslims. Spend the evening in the tranquil, spiritual atmosphere of the city.
Begin the day in Karbala, then travel to Al-Kifl to visit the Tomb of the Prophet Ezekiel, a significant religious site with distinctive Jewish and Islamic architectural influences.
The day concludes in Najaf, one of the holiest cities in Shia Islam, where you will visit the Imam Ali Shrine and the vast Wadi al-Salam cemetery.
After a quiet morning in Najaf, proceed to the archaeological city of Ur and the Great Ziggurat, a massive stepped pyramid that opens a window onto the grandeur of ancient Sumer. Continue to Nasiriyah, on the banks of the Euphrates, for the night.
Visit the Mesopotamian Marshes, often considered the cradle of civilization, and discover the unique ecosystem and the traditional Marsh Arab way of life. Return to Baghdad in the evening.
Head north to Samarra and marvel at the spiral minaret of its Great Mosque and the vast archaeological site, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Then visit the Ziggurat of Aqarquf, remains of the ancient city of Dur-Kurigalzu, which offers glimpses of life in Mesopotamia during the Kassite period. Return to Baghdad for the night.
After breakfast, check out of the hotel. A private transfer will take you to Baghdad International Airport in time for your flight, bringing our services to a close. We wish you a safe journey and look forward to welcoming you again.
